Annual Women’s Health Medical Conference

The Annual Women’s Health Medical Conference focuses on women’s health issues in Barbados, the Caribbean and beyond. While both men and women contract various conditions, some health issues affect women differently and more commonly. Women often bear exclusive health concerns, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, menopause, and pregnancy. Women suffer higher heart attack deaths compared to men. Depression and anxiety exhibit more frequently among female patients. Urinary tract conditions present more often in females, and sexually transmitted diseases can cause more harm to women. This conference brings special focus on health issues specific to women and ways in which they can be best addressed.
This year’s conference will feature Gynaecolgists Dr. John Barker, Dr. Natisha Robinson, Dr. Vikash Chatrani with the chair being Dr. Nicole Durham . A range of topics will be covered and will include: including Alternatives to Hysterectomy, Post Menopausal Bleeding, Pregnancy & Obesity, Preventing Cervical Cancer and other OBGYN topics. Other topics will explore Heart Disease and Women, Mental Health, Podiatric & Dermatological issues. Doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and other interested persons are invited to attend. CPE credit is available.
