Over many years of research and evidence-based practice, we have discovered the intimate connection between oral health and overall health. We know that periodontal disease has been linked to the development of diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Pregnant women with severe gum infection are at risk of developing pre-eclampsia. This CME explores the dental issues that may arise in particular disease states and vice versa.

Topics include: Cardiac Disease & Periodontal Disease, Effect of Chemotherapy on Dentally Sound Teeth, Diabetes and Dental Health and more.  Speakers include Dr. Pamela Phillips, Dentist, Dr. Kay Goring, Cardiologist and other specialists. CPE credit available.
