Nutrition is important at every age. Childhood nutrition is of increasing concern with increasing rates of obesity, general malnutrition and early development of chronic disease. This CME explores the current situation in Barbados and the Caribbean taking a multidisciplinary approach to educate and equip the health care professional with tools to tackle and prevent this crisis. Topics include: Understanding the Pathophysiology of Weight Gain; Nutrition Psychology; Nutrition Recommendations in Children; Special Considerations in the Diabetic Child; School Nutrition Policy and more.
