Hibiscus Health Caribbean Inc is pleased to bring back the Women’s Health & Medical Conference scheduled to be held on Saturday, 10 September 2016, 12PM-7PM at the 3 W’s Pavillion at the University of the West Indies. This event features a potpourri of topics designed to address common women’s issues in both the GP practice and the Specialist Practice giving doctors and allied health professionals greater insight to address these issues, be aware of treatment options, prescribe appropriately, work with a multidisciplinary team and refer.
This year, 21st Century Oncology is offering their kind support as a sponsor and is bringing Radiation Oncologist Dr. Miraj Nehta to present on making the female body less conducive to cancer. Another featured speaker from the USA is Dr. Robert Paresi, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who will be exploring Advances in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. The Women’s Health & Medical Event always seeks to cover topical issues in Barbados and the Caribbean and Dr. Andrew Forde, Dermatologist will be exploring the medical concerns pertinent to skin bleaching in Barbados. Other topics include common podiatric issues in women, mental health, contraception and chronic non-communicable diseases and more. Chairman of this event is Dr. Vikash Chatrani, Gynaecologist, who is also the Chairman of the Globeathon Walk to End Women’s Cancers, scheduled to be held on Sunday, Sept 11, 2016. This event focuses especially on Gynaecological Cancers, and Hibiscus Health Caribbean Inc is pleased to give part proceeds of the Women’s Health & Medical Conference to the Globeathon.
