A Look At Diabetes and Hypertension

The 2018 Parish Project Theme is “Lucy Come Leh We Talk Sugar and Salt”
The Description of 2018 Parish Project:
The treatment of diabetes and hypertension as well as their various complications continues to place a burden on the island’s health care system. The project will focus attention on employing various modalities to educate our residents on the importance of healthy lifestyle behaviours aim at improving parish wellness.
They will also seek to encourage the youth to adopt positive health choices to ensure a productive population as they host various activities throughout the parish.
Additionally the project will also educate to dispel the many misconceptions associated with these two chronic diseases making for more knowledgeable residents, this as they join in the fight to change behaviours, to exchange bad habits for good habits.
