Diabetes is in the top 5 causes of death in Barbados. Diabetes is not just a simple case of having a “bit of sugar” as it brings along a myriad of issues including defaults in the heart and nervous systems, wounds, circulation, kidney issues and much more. This CME presents a mixture of topics that will explore the gut microbiome, obesity, trace elements and insulin resistance, the nervous system, behaviour and cognitive therapy and more. A workshop on insulin initiation and adjustment will be included. Join us for this potpourri of diabetes topics at the Annual Diabetes Update – Barbados 2023. Join us in person or on Zoom!
